Job Description:\n\nSchool Caretaker (Afternoons & Evenings) - Brent - Temp to Perm\n\nSchool Caretaker Job - Brent, North West London\n35 Hours Per Week | ASAP Start | Temp to Perm | 48 Weeks Per Year\n\nSimply Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Brent for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join their site team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker, facilities assistant, site assistant, premises officer, or maintenance professional looking to work within a school environment.\n\nWorking Hours\n\nMonday to Friday\n1:30pm - 9:30pm\n1-hour unpaid break\n35 hours per week\n48 weeks per year\nWorking throughout the summer period\nASAP start available\nPermanent contract also availableThe Role as\n\nWorking closely with the Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the school site during the afternoon and evening. The school operates regular evening lettings, with the Site Manager handing over responsibilities as external users arrive on site.\n\nDuties will include:\n\nOpening and securing areas of the school site\nSupporting evening lettings and ensuring facilities are ready for use\nCarrying out basic maintenance and repairs\nSite security and lock-up procedures\nHealth and safety checks\nSetting up rooms and facilities as required\nResponding to site-related issues and guest enquiries\nGeneral caretaking and premises dutiesThe Ideal Candidate\n\nPrevious experience as a School Caretaker, Site Assistant, Premises Officer, Facilities Assistant, or Maintenance Operative\nGood practical maintenance skills\nKnowledge of health and safety procedures\nReliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently\nStrong communication skills\nEnhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one)What We Offer\n\nTemp-to-perm opportunity\nSupportive school leadership team\nConsistent working hours\nOpportunity to secure a permanent school-based role\nDedicated support from Simply Education throughout the recruitment processThe recruitment process will include an informal discussion with Simply Education, followed by meetings with the Site Manager and Headteacher.\n\nApply today to be considered for this School Caretaker vacancy in Brent
